Purpose designed and built as a spacious luxury guest house, Broad Bay House is based on a traditional island design, equipped and decorated to a high quality contemporary style.

 

Soft colours, natural woods, outstanding local photography, original local artwork and sympathetic furnishings all provide a unique and relaxing environment.

A highlight of the house is the large guest dining/lounge area, which has a vaulted ceiling and windows on three sides, providing lovely views of the coast and wildlife, while a solid fuel stove makes life cosy when the weather demands. Guests can relax and enjoy the amazing aspect and views. If you are lucky, you may even see our otters on the beach.

Our garden offers views over the beach and the Minch towards the Scottish mainland. On a clear day you can see the mainland mountains. You are welcome to sit here, relax and admire the views, maybe whilst stoking the fire pit!

 

We aim to provide every facility needed by both the leisure and business traveller, including a guest laundry (small charge), guest study (with PC, local guide books, maps & literature, DVD's and novels) free WiFi throughout the house and a licensed bar. We can lend binoculars, OS maps, bird books, wellies and such like; and for guests venturing here in the autumn and winter months can provide a dark skies kit and guidance on seeing the northern lights! The Outer Hebrides has some of the darkest skies in Europe and star gazing is a must.

If you have an electric car, we have an EV Charger and dedicated space for electric vehicle charging. Our universal Type 2 charger is suitable for most types of electric vehicle and is for the exclusive use of guests staying with us overnight. Please bring your own cable. Our charger is a ‘destination’ 7kW charger, designed for an overnight charge. See terms and conditions for full details.

We have space to safely store your sporting equipment such as surf boards and bicycles. We are dog friendly and can accommodate a well behaved dog in Room 1 or Room 2. £10 per dog per day, with complimentary doggo treats on arrival!
